I have rubber valve cover gaskets it says to use a little adhesive to hold gasket to cover.what type do i use?

The rubber gasket was designed to seal without the use of sealants. The reason that they're telling you to use a few dots of adhesive is to hold it still while you place it and bolt it down.Try this first. Insert the bolts through the cover and gasket. If the bolts fit tight into the gasket holes, then that's all you need to hold it in place while you snug them up then tighten them. If that don't do it then just go back to plan A. put a few small dots of adhesive on the cover and fit the gasket. Let it set for a little while so it will stick when you turn it upright for installation.I have rubber valve cover gaskets it says to use a little adhesive to hold gasket to cover.what type do i use?
Permagasket. As the answer before mine indicates you need to use the adhesive to hold it in place while you install the valve covers back on.I have rubber valve cover gaskets it says to use a little adhesive to hold gasket to cover.what type do i use?
Permatex RTV Black, that stuff is flexible, yet strong as cement. I used it to seal an oil pan (that I then had to remove the next day, Doh!), and I totally F*ed up the oil pan prying it off because the RTV had such a hold on it! I even used a razor blade to slice as much of it as possible and lessen it's grip
You buy it at the car parts store. It's something made for that.Rubber gasket adhevsive.Just ask them.I'm a girl and I bought some and used it.It was blue glue.
gasket adhesive
You can use a gasket adhesive. It's like purple in color. Or you can use contact cement. It's just so the gasket stays in place until you tighten the bolts. The rubber gasket seals it.

Use the high temp instant gasket. Use more than just a little, put a very thin line of it over the whole head and then put the gasket and valve cover on, you don't want LEAKS!
