You will need a coupling agent. I would recommend silanes, in particular, 3-mercaptopropyl trimethoxysilane,
HS-CH2-CH2-CH2-Si(OCH3)3.
It is available from ShinEtsu as product KBM-803. The coupling agent can be attached to natural or synthetic rubber unsaturations via the mercapto group. The silane group improves adhesion to metals and glass.Do anybody know about adhesive formulation for rubber to metal bonding?
